I’m a little nervous about leaving Lambeau on his own for 5 whole days. I’m leaving for work in about a half hour, and won’t see him again till about this same time Tuesday. He’s got two big bowls of food and water and his litter is fresh, so I know he won’t die. I just hope he doesn’t mind being alone for that long. Hopefully all those toys of his I found yesterday will keep him occupied.

I can’t freaking wait for Friday. I’ll be making the drive to Des Moines, where I’m meeting Karissa and a few of her folks and we’re roadtripping out to Colorado Springs for the weekend and coming back Monday. We’re still trying to figure out what in all we’ll be doing, but it’ll be a lot of sightseeing. I’m excited to finally see mountains! Plus, Karissa and I get our own hotel room :)

Depending on what time I leave the office tomorrow night, I’ll either drive to Madison, overnight there and drive the remaining 4 hours to Des Moines, otherwise I’ll be making the 5.5 hour drive there from here in Fond du Lac.

Either way, I’ll be spending 13-15 hours in a vehicle on Friday. Driving/riding through Iowa and Nebraska. Holy shit. But it’s going to be awesome once we get to Colorado.
